Add or edit services in the business profile. Go to your business profile. On Google Maps, select Edit Profile. Services, select the service you want to edit.
To add a new service, select Add more services and select Save. Not all companies can add services to their business profile. To check eligibility, check the status of CanModifyServiceList in the metadata. In the menu, look for the “Add your company” button.
When you search for a company on Google, you've probably looked at the map and the list of companies that accompany it that may appear at the top of the search results. An update to Google My Business will allow service-based businesses to specify the types of services they offer to customers. After the verification step, Google will ask you to add more information about your company and to subscribe to the relevant services, depending on the business category you have chosen. If the verification options available for your business don't work for you, you can contact the Google Business Profile team through their help center.
For example, you can show vacation time or mark your business as temporarily closed or completely reopened. Companies with well-optimized Google business profiles are much more likely to appear in these results. Google has a feature that allows users to send you messages directly from your Google My Business listing. Google recommends that you use your company description to provide useful information about your products and services, as well as about your company's missions and history.
If Google can't find the address, look for the red “Set Marker Location” button that appears on the map of your city, on the right. The Google Business Profile (GBP) is a free tool that allows you to influence the way your company appears on Google Search, Google Maps and Google Shopping. Google believes that having standardized types of work will make it easier for customers to find the services they need. If your business doesn't have a physical location, you'll need to enter your personal address for verification purposes.
Google My Business will offer a selection of suggested service types to choose from; for example, plumbers can view “Install a faucet” or “Repair a toilet” as services to add. Next, Google will ask you to enter some personal information, such as your name, contact number, the level of access you need and your relationship with the company. Google My Business, now called Google Business Profile, allows business owners to reach customers through Google Search and Google Maps.
